Description du contenu de l'enseignement

Analytical chemistry: determination of water hardness by complexometry, determination of different ions concentrations in water (use Beer-Lambert law and calibration curves)
Inorganic chemistry: synthesis of an aluminium complexe (redox chemistry)
Physical chemistry: Vitamin C – Quantitative analysis of commercial tablets
Organic Chemistry: acetylation reaction (in the synthesis of aspirin or paracetamol)
 

Compétences à acquérir

-use properly classical chemistry glassware
-take in account dangerousness of chemicals before handling them
-prepare solutions of known and precise concentration (by dissolution or dilution)
-enforce a titration to determinate concentration
-isolate a compound by filtration with a Buchner funnel
-draw a calibration curve and use it to determine concentration
-use a spectrophotometer
-use a pHmeter
-write a balanced chemical equation
-complete a lab notebook
